Today, we opened sales on new, one-of-a-kind world maps. The new maps are of the French-speaking world, the Creole-speaking world, and a world map in Kouri-Vini. All three maps are the first to enter the public market, and the latter two, both in the Kouri-Vini language, are the first-ever world maps to exist in that language.
The new maps enter the public domain as part of our expressed mission to bring more resources to the public to know, learn, or re-learn, the history, genealogy, and culture of our corners of the global Latin world. We pay special attention to developing resources in Kouri-Vini, a language that is critically endangered, and which has never enjoyed any official status.
Each of our maps contains custom-designed border patterns, textured backgrounds, and/or lettering, and are conceptualized, designed, and implemented by Louisiana Historic & Cultural Vistas.

We addressed the oversight in the image above, specifically Greenland and part of Russia. Prints, which are on-demand, will reflect these changes.

Bernhard Schmalhofer says
Greenland as belonging to Europa, but Eastern Russia not in Europe?
Christophe Landry, Ph.D. says
Thank you, Bernhard. It was an oversight. We’ve corrected it.
