Dearest Christophe,
My husband and I returned from the family festivities in New Orleans Thursday evening.
I’m writing because I want you to know that, while there, I was keenly aware that my participation would not have been possible but for your willingness to share your work on the Olivier and Vincent family trees with me. You need to know that you gave me one of the most meaningful gifts I’ve ever gotten — my family back; my history back.
On a lighter note, I was bummed you couldn’t attend. At the very least I would loved to have given you a big hug!
