A new political map of modern Louisiana has been released in Kouri-Vini and Louisiana French for purchase.
On Sunday, 20th May 2018, LHCV’s Christophe Landry released a new political map of Louisiana in the Kouri-Vini and Louisiana French languages. The map contains the main interstates in modern Louisiana, the parish seats of all civil parishes, as well as many communities, towns, villages, and cities within the parishes.
The map deliberately emphasizes Latin Louisiana, where the Kouri-Vini, Louisiana French and Louisiana Spanish languages are spoken indigenously in the state. This region is identified by light blue (on the LF version) and rose pink (on the KV version) background. All communities, villages, towns, and cities with historic names in the KV and LF languages, are identified by that historic name on the maps.
Two sizes – 24×36 and 36×48 – are available, alongside additional options, like finishing.
Perfect for businesses, schools, offices, classrooms, festivals, and homes.
LHCV released the first map in the series last month. It presents approximate jurisdictions of colonial trading posts/military districts and modern civil parishes, and is also available in KV and LF. The reaction was overwhelming: over 30 maps sold in the first 48 hours!
