LHCV extends an invitation for singers to submit one (1) high quality, presentation-ready media clip for a Kouri-Vini alphabet song. Submissions will be judged by administrators of the Louisiana Creole Language Fanpage on Facebook. The winning submission will be a permanent feature of LHCV’s website, promotional material, and community and academic presentations.
Guidelines
- Anyone may submit.
Louisiana Creoles or Cajuns are most encouraged, but the contest is open to any individual or group thereof, of any nationality, residence, ethnic origin, or linguistic background. - Language
The song must be in Kouri-Vini and the visual renderings in submissions must be that of modern Kouri-Vini orthography. - Music
Any musical genre is accepted. Although sounds indigenous to Louisiana Creole communities are most encouraged. - Format
Submissions must be in mp4 or another format accepted for web distribution. - Deadline
Submissions must be made byFriday, 20th May 2016Sunday, 31st July 2016 to info@mylhcv.com. If the clip is too large to email, you may also upload it to your Google Drive account as a private file and email us the url where we can view it.
