L
ast year I began work on translating Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Buddhist, and other prayers, into Kouri-Vini. I also started hand drawn and written work on the template to deliver a unique aesthetic. The template includes gold leaf gilding, as well as the Louisiana Iris and California poppies, both of which grow indigenously in Louisiana. The purpose is to publish a useful prayer book for learners to use wherever they may be. The prayer book will not be ready until later this year and the translations remain on-going.Since most of our community profess faith in Christianity, and have expressed great interest in the prayers, I have decided to make a selection of the Christian prayers available in print form for framing. These are perfect for homes, classrooms, rectory halls, or in churches.
Patrons will be able to purchase these Christian prayer prints in the 2 versions pictured. There will also be the option to only purchase prints, or to purchase already framed. The pictures and translation below are merely models.
Once we have decided on the best print specialist to deliver the highest quality result at a reasonable price for you, sales will commence on our online shop at Magazin LHCV. We will notify you through our blog and Facebook fanpage at that time.
The move to translate the prayers into Kouri-Vini is significant in that Kouri-Vini-speakers historically pray in the French language. Now those speakers will have the opportunity to pray in the language closest to their hearts.

I’m very impressed with the prayer book. However, I am a Baha’i. We have worship centers in New Orleans, Baton Rouge and Lafayette. Is there a way I can send Baha’i prayers for you to translate?
