Rodney Sam holds a B.A. in Communications from Prairie View A&M University. His family has deep Louisiana Creole roots that extend to the beginning of the colony. He is passionate in learning about the history genealogy and culture of his Louisiana Creole ancestors. Rodney is an expert on the history of Creoles in St. Landry and Evangeline Parish.
He currently works as a Library Services Specialist for the Clayton Library Center for Genealogical Research in Houston, one of the top genealogy research centers in the country.
He is presently working on building a lifelong dream of becoming a writer as well as considering options of studying history at the graduate level.
