Twenty-eight-year-old Alex Lee is a native of Beaumont, Texas. He is 1st generation on his paternal side to be born in Texas, and 3rd on his maternal side. Both of his parents have deep roots in southwest Louisiana.
Alex graduated from Central Medical Magnet in Beaumont, Texas. After high school, he continued his education at Texas Southern University where he took up Music education and Mathematics. It was during a stint of employment at H.E.B. 7 years ago that he got involved in genealogy and have remained involved ever since.
Since, Alex has collected several thousands of vintage family photos and documentation of southwest Louisiana Creole families. These photos and documents forever painted a more immediate and personal picture of his family’s deep Louisiana Creole roots.
At the moment, he is writing a series of genealogy books so that others may better understand their histories. Inspired by his research, families he researches have reacted encouragingly and have been willing to share valuable information and material culture with him. His goal is to also build a genealogy museum that will hold all of the family heirlooms he has been fortunate to have acquired along the way.
