The other type of plantation homes common in some areas of Louisiana, is the Anglo-American Plantation, whose architectural style is known as “Foundation of America” architecture.
This variety is characterized by the large white columns (sometimes, all around the home).
These plantations typically were built by and for Anglo-Louisianians and Anglo-Americans.
